DaimlerChrysler wants big focus on Asia
FRANKFURT, Oct 13, 2002 Reuters reported that German carmaker DaimlerChrysler board member Ruediger Grube told a German newspaper he wanted 20 to 25 percent of its sales to come from Asia in the coming 10 years.
China was one of the company's main targets, Grube told Saturday's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and the company was in talks with the government to build its own manufacturing sites there.
Grube also said he wanted to extend his cooperation with Mitsubishi Motors in China.
