    IRVINE, Calif.--Oct. 11, 2002--Consumer Portfolio Services, Inc. announced that it will release its third quarter 2002 operating results on October 23, 2002, following stock market close.
    Charles E. Bradley, President and CEO of the Company, will host a conference call to discuss the quarterly results on October 23, 2002 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time (1:30 p.m. Pacific Time). This call will be broadcast live for all interested parties via the Company's web site at www.consumerportfolio.com.
