Fleetwood RV Sales Growth in Class A Motor Homes Outpaces Industry
RIVERSIDE, Calif., Oct. 9, 2002 Fleetwood RV, the nation's leading recreational vehicle manufacturer, holds the top position in year-to-date retail sales and outpaces industry sales growth in the Class A motor home market. According to the latest industry report from Statistical Surveys, Inc., the Class A industry has grown 7.1 percent with 21,833 year-to-date retail sales (January 2002 through July 2002) compared to 20,389 retail sales during the same period last year. In this growing industry, Fleetwood RV achieved a significant 18.9 percent increase with 4,453 year-to-date retail sales (January 2002 through July 2002) compared to 3,746 during the same period last year.
Leading the company's sales growth was its Class A gasoline product lines. Driving this segment was Fleetwood RV's Pace Arrow brand, increasing its year- to-date retail sales number by over 84 percent compared to the same period last year. Another gasoline product leader was Fleetwood RV's Southwind brand, holding a 64 percent increase in year-to-date retail sales. The company's flagship brand, Bounder, also increased its year-to-date retail sales by over 17 percent.
