LoJack Corporation Selects ViryaNet Service Hub

    SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass.--Oct. 9, 2002--ViryaNet , a provider of integrated mobile and Web-based software applications for workforce management and the automation of field service delivery, today announced that LoJack Corporation, a recognized world leader in stolen vehicle tracking and recovery, has licensed ViryaNet Service Hub.
    Under the terms of the contract, LoJack will license ViryaNet's Service Hub, Mobile Workforce Management, Service Scheduler, and eContract applications to streamline the installation of its recovery systems, and support its rapidly expanding sales and installation channel strategy.
    ViryaNet Service Hub and applications will optimize LoJack's 300 field technicians and 100 support staff, who manage the functions of appointment booking, dispatch, and scheduling. ViryaNet Service Hub also will integrate with LoJack's primary in-house order-entry system.

    Using ViryaNet Service Hub, LoJack will improve its ability to schedule and dispatch its field technicians to the right place at the right time with the right information. ViryaNet Service Hub will also monitor, report, and measure field activity; and unite the many constituents of LoJack's service community through Web browsers, cellular telephones, personal digital assistants, and other wireless devices.
    ViryaNet Service Hub creates an environment in which service organizations, together with their customers, partners, vendors, and suppliers, collaborate in real-time to conduct work and share information. ViryaNet Service Hub includes an information portal that provides community access and collaboration; business intelligence for proactive reporting, analysis and action; automated workflow; contact management; and service delivery integration.
