SPENCER TO CARRY NEW FUJIFILM PAINT SCHEME
IN CHARLOTTE
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 8, 2002) - Target Chip Ganassi Racing will
feature a new paint scheme for the UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe's Motor
Speedway on October 13. The recognizable green, white and red of Fuji Photo
Film U.S.A., Inc., will be the featured artwork on the No. 41 Dodge driven
by Jimmy Spencer for this one event.
The UAW-GM Quality 500 will mark the first time that Fujifilm has had
primary
sponsorship on a NASCAR Winston Cup car. To support Target and Chip Ganassi
Racing, Fujifilm will bolster its presence at Lowe's Motor Speedway with the
FinePix "Picture of America(tm)" Tour truck and the famous Fujifilm blimp.
Race fans can stop by the FinePix truck for a hands-on digital photography
learning experience and catch a glimpse of the blimp overhead.
Recognized for its technological innovation and high quality, Fujifilm
offers a complete portfolio of imaging and information products, services
and e-solutions to retailers, consumers, professionals and business
customers.
"Racing is the perfect outlet to match the advanced technology and endurance
of Fujifilm products with the speed and reliability associated with Chip
Ganassi Racing," said David Bailey, Vice President of National Accounts in
Fujifilm's Consumer Markets Division. "Although Fujifilm's green boxes of
film are recognizable around the globe, the company is about more than just
film. We're excited to showcase these aspects of Fujifilm at this race."
Jimmy Spencer has competed in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series since 1989. He
has 30 top-five and 83 top-10 finishes to date, including wins at Daytona
International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.

"It's great to have a company like Fujifilm on board for our home-race in
Charlotte," Spencer said. "It's a cool paint scheme and it will really
stand out on the track. I'm hoping we'll drive it to Victory Lane and that
all the photographers will be taking my picture with Fujifilm products."
Target Chip Ganassi Racing is the only team to field cars in all three major
U.S.-based racing series: NASCAR, CART and the Indy Racing League. Over the
last seven years, the team has won four consecutive CART championships from
1996 to 1999 and won the Indianapolis 500 in 2000 with driver Juan Montoya.
Following a successful career as a driver, Chip Ganassi set his sights on
ownership in 1988. The Target Chip Ganassi Racing team earned Championship
Auto Racing Teams (CART) championships in four consecutive years from1996
through 1999. In 2000, driving for the first time on the 2.5-mile oval in a
different styled open-wheel car, Target Chip Ganassi Racing's Juan Montoya
blew away the competition in the Indianapolis 500, claiming the title for
his team, which had not raced at the famed brickyard since 1995. Ganassi
entered NASCAR Winston Cup Series racing in 2000, and with Sterling Marlin
currently battling for the championship, Ganassi appears to be building for
continued success.
