An August 2002 report from Nielsen-Netratings indicates that car manufacturers' rich media ads accounted for 37.4 percent of their overall interactive ad impressions during the second quarter.
They are by far the heaviest users of rich media technologies, almost 10 times more when compared to the 3.9 percent average across all industries.
