BAE SYSTEMS Demonstrates Successful Flight of Guided Rocket
BAE SYSTEMS successfully launched a 2.75-inch laser guided rocket using a unique mid-body fin-mounted guidance system, scoring a "bull's-eye" hit on a small target more than three miles away from its launch point. The Controlled Test Vehicle (CTV) was fired Sept. 19 at the U.S. Army's Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona for the Army's Low Cost Precision Kill (LCPK) program. The flight test verified airframe control and response to guidance commands.

Visa Sees 17 Percent Growth in Global Sales Volume
Visa International reported on Oct. 7, 2002, that its global sales volume has surpassed US$2.3 trillion for the year ending June 30 2002, an increase of 17 per cent on the previous year. Consumer Credit Index
Nearly a third of American homeowners (31%) that have refinanced their mortgages in the last two years or plan to do so in the next year expect use the extra money to increase their savings, according to the results of a nationwide survey by the Cambridge Consumer Credit Index. Of the refinancers surveyed, 23% plan to pay off non-credit card debt, such as car loans, college loans and other bills, 20% will use the savings for remodeling their homes or purchasing a vehicle and 15% plan to pay off credit card debt.
