X-Rite Spectrophotometer Technology Incorporated Into New DuPont Digital Proofing Solution; High-End Color Management Solution Targets Drop-On-Demand Printers

    CHICAGO--Oct. 6, 2002--X-Rite , Incorporated and DuPont Imaging Technologies today announced the launch of a new DuPont digital proofing solution incorporating X-Rite Spectrophotometer technology. The new DuPont(TM) CromaPro(TM) XP Inkjet Color Proofing System relies on accurate X-Rite instrumentation for measuring color for profiling and calibration within its built-in color management workflow. The full integration of spectral data collection, color management and RIP functions into one easy to use software package is an industry first for the digital proofing market.
    CromaPro(TM) XP, a high-end color management and RIP solution for drop-on-demand (DOD) printers allows users to produce professional quality proofs, for less than one-quarter the cost of traditional systems. It incorporates the DuPont(TM) CromaNet(TM) color management and profiling software with a genuine Adobe(R) PostScript(R) 3(TM) RIP, drivers for the leading desktop and wide-format printers from Hewlett Packard and Epson and a new line of cross platform proofing media.
    X-Rite's DTP41UV Spectrodensitometer instrument will be used in conjunction with the CromaPro(TM) XP system and will be on display at the DuPont booth #4848 during this week's Graph Expo trade show in Chicago, IL.
