JIM JULOW DENIES HE IS LEAVING CHRYSLER

DETROIT AdAge.com reported that Jim Julow, vice president of motor sports at Chrysler Group, denied a report published earlier today that he has resigned and will leave the automaker Dec. 1.

The source of that story, one of 125 people who attended an Oct. 2 "town hall meeting" within Chrysler, said Mr. Julow's plans were announced at that meeting. However, following Mr. Julow's denial today, the source said the announcement may not have been made at the meeting but somewhere else. No further details could be provided.

Denies resignation

Mr. Julow told AdAge.com today that he hasn't resigned from Chrysler. He said has a "committment for the balance of the season" for his new job in motor sports.

"I have taken an assigmentment from this company and am doing it to the best of my ability," he said, adding he is working more hours now, including weekends, than he did in his former job as the head of the Dodge division.

'Things to think about' "I'm not sure I want to do motor sports for the rest of my life." The last race is the first week of December, he added. "I do have some things to think about over the next few months," but he said it was premature to predict he will leave the automaker.

"I may come to that conclusion at some point and I may not."

Talk of Mr. Julow's potential depature from Chrysler has swirled in Detroit since he was shifted in June from his position as vice president and head of Dodge to his current job.
