September Marks 20th Consecutive Month of Record U.S.Sales For Hyundai
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 1 -- Hyundai Motor America
today announced that September sales set a record for the month. Hyundai
Motor America sold 30,257 vehicles in September. "This is our 20th
consecutive month of record-setting sales," said Hyundai's Vice President of
Sales Robert Cosmai. "Compared to last year at this time, Hyundai sales are
up 14.2 percent YTD," Cosmai said.
"Sales continue to be led by the Elantra and the Santa Fe sport utility vehicle. Buyers looking for styling, performance and value have given Hyundai tremendous sales momentum this year and we are working hard to make certain these strong sales continue," he added. Cosmai also noted that sales of the popular Santa Fe sport utility vehicle were up 28 percent compared to last year.
