HMS Legends World Finals Postponed Again

Legends Cars World Finals Postponed But Racing Action Continues this
Saturday at HMS with NAPA Night

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (September 30, 2002) Speedway officials have decided to
postpone the 2nd annual Legends Cars World Finals scheduled for this
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 3rd through the 5th. The event,
originally scheduled for September 12th through the 14th was postponed due
to rain. Trying to make the event up before the end of the season,
officials chose this coming weekend, however with many short tracks
throughout the southeast having their big race weekends planned and many of
the competitors who entered the World Finals in September are unable to
return on October 4th and 5th. No date has been set to reschedule the event.

Racing will however still take place at the Hardeeville Motor Speedway this
Saturday, October 5th with "NAPA Night at the Races." The featured racing
divisions will be the O.C. Welch Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Late Models, the
Legends Cars, Coastal Medical Associates Street Stocks, Xtreme Stock Cars,
Mini Stocks and Road Warriors. The Legends Cars feature will be a track
points race as originally scheduled earlier this year since the World
Finals event has been postponed.

Gates open at 4:00 p.m., qualifying at 6:00 p.m., followed by the National
Anthem at 7:00 p.m.  General admission ticket prices are $10.00 for adults;
$6.00 for Juniors (ages 13-16), Seniors (55 and older) and Military (with
proper I.D.); and children under 12 are free. There will be no racing on
Friday night, October 4th.

The Hardeeville Motor Speedway is located three miles south of I-95 (exit 5
in SC) on Highway 17 or just ten miles north of Savannah on Highway
17. For more information, contact (843) 784 RACE (7223) or visit online at
