Nissan to report 10% rise in sales volume

PARIS — Nissan Motor Co expects to report an increase of some 10% in sales volume in the fiscal first half to Sept 30 and a bigger increase in sales value, Nissan President Carlos Ghosn said Friday.

Speaking at a press conference prior to the opening of the Paris Motor Show, Ghosn said he is confident that earnings by Nissan will be much better in the next fiscal year starting April 1, 2003, in view of the launch of a series of new models in North America. (Kyodo News)
