PRO 2002 Awards Ceremony to be Held at PRI, Saturday Dec 7, 2002

PRO-EDELBROCK DRAG RACING SERIES 2002 AWARDS CEREMONY TO BE HELD AT PRI INDUSTRY TRADE SHOW, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7th, 2002

Fountain Valley, CA -- ProMedia Events is proud to announce the 2002 PRO-Edelbrock Drag Racing Series World Championship Award Ceremony will be hosted at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, Saturday, December 7th, 2002 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

The PRO-Edelbrock Drag Racing Series is the leading street legal racing organization in the country, featuring outstanding support from the leading companies in the performance industry. Special thanks to these companies that helped support street legal drag racing in a terrific year: Edelbrock, Nitto Tires, ATI Procharger, Flowmaster, Diamond Pistons, Mr. Gasket, Vortech Superchargers, Toyo Tires, Superchips, Valvoline MaxLife, and Hamburger Oil Pans! 

The 2002 PRO Championship Awards Ceremony will feature the biggest names in heads up sportsmen drag racing, including Pat Musi, Milt Decker, Tony Williams, Marc Dantoni, Bill Glidden, Joel Greathouse and more. On December 7th, 2002, the newly crowed PRO World Champions and top 10 finishers in the inaugural PRO-Edelbrock Series classes will make history and accept their hard-earned recognition. The 2002 PRO Awards Ceremony is open to all racers, crew members, fans, vendors, manufacturers, and sponsor representatives.

At the 2002 PRO Championship Awards Ceremony, custom made PRO jackets will be awarded to the PRO drivers in the top ten in points of each of the  nine PRO Championship classes: Pro Street, Super Street, Nostalgia Pro Street, Xtreme Street, Pro Stock, Cheap Street, Nostalgia Muscle Car, Nostalgia Super Stock and Open Comp.

In addition, ten special "PRO Excellence Awards" will be presented to ten racers or crew members that display outstanding sportsmanship or racing skill during the 2002 PRO-Edelbrock season. Other specialty awards to be presented at the ceremony include 2002 PRO Sportsmen of the Year, 2002 PRO Crew Member of the Year, 2002 PRO Rookie of the Year.
