ABRA Names New Vice President of Corporate Development

    MINNEAPOLIS--Sept. 25, 2002--ABRA Auto Body & Glass, a Minneapolis-based damaged vehicle repair company, announced that Timothy S. Allen has been named Vice President of Corporate Development. Allen will play an instrumental role in meeting the short and long-term growth objectives of ABRA.
    Allen was most recently Senior Director of Strategic Investments for Metris Companies where he implemented the strategic initiatives of their direct marketing business unit through identification, evaluation and acquisition of strategic partners and competitors. Prior to that he enjoyed a successful seven-year career with Apogee Enterprises and several of their business units, including Harmon Glass.
    When asked why he joined ABRA, Allen stated: "I was familiar with ABRA from my days at Apogee, and knew of their culture and plans for expansion. When this opportunity became available, I felt it was a great opportunity to have an impact on the growth and strategies of this industry-leading company."

    Tim and Penny, his wife of nine years, reside in Medina, MN with their son, Drew, and daughter, Maggie.

    ABRA Auto Body & Glass is a national damaged vehicle repair company specializing in collision repair, paintless dent removal, and auto glass repair and replacement. Started with one repair center in 1984, they have grown to seventy-one facilities in ten states. Their plans for accelerated national growth over the next several years include acquiring existing facilities and building new locations.
