Street Car drag racing returns to Memphis in a big way with the first annual PRO World Finals. Memphis was home many years ago to the first-ever Worlds Fastest Street Car race, and after an absence of several years many of the fans and stars of that long ago race will return to Memphis under the banner of the new leader in Street Car drag racing. When the smoke clears from the last burnout, new champions will rise and stars will be made. This is where legends are born. The track itself is located just outside of Memphis and is fairly easy to get to. This is a top-notch NHRA facility, and hosts a major NHRA event every fall. Expect this to be a great hooking track, and look for extreme horsepower as the weather will most definitely be ideal for a weekend of racing. Expect temperatures in the seventies on this October weekend. At night Memphis has plenty to do. This is home of the blues and you can find it on pretty much every street in town, but Beale Street is the place to be. If you're a fan of ribs and barbeque, Memphis is your new favorite town! There's also plenty of dance clubs and bars to keep your pit crew out partying longer than they should be. If that's not enough this area is also home to several casinos, just don't gamble away your race winnings. How To Get There: From Nashville: Take I-40 to Exit 24, 385/Paull Barret Parkway South. Take the Raleigh Millington Exit, and turn Right onto Fite Rd. From West: Take I-40 East to I-240 South (Madison Ave. Exit). Take the I-40 East exit towards Nashville. Take Exit 6 Warford Street and turn left. Turn left onto Allen Rd. Allen Rd. will become New Allen Rd. Go Straight through to Raleigh Millington Rd. Turn left onto Fite Rd.
