> Fogleman Loses Brakes at Winchester
>
>
> Durham, N.C. - Jay Fogleman and the Lucas Oil team posted a 12th place
finish Sunday at Winchester Speedway's Alan Kulwicki Memorial 250. Fogleman
fought brake problems from the onset of the event, bringing the #4 Ford
Taurus into the pits three times for the brakes to be bled and the brake
pads to be replaced.
>
> "After qualifying seventh on Saturday, we were excited about running up
front", said Fogleman. "By lap two, we had completely lost our brakes, and
I was having to pump them to get into the corners. I thought our bad luck
at Winchester was over, and I still want to think it is. Even though we
didn't have brakes, we were able to stay out of the wrecks, and brought the
car home without a scratch. I just hated the fact that we lost our brakes
for our sponsor and team."
>
> Fogleman was able to finish only one lap down due to the number of
cautions during the event. The team shows 9th in Championship Series points
following this event. The Alan Kulwicki 250 will be aired on Speed Channel
this Thursday, September 26, at 9:00 p.m.
