Future Automotive Group Purchases Stronghold DealerAdvance Wireless Technology
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J., Sept. 24 Stronghold Technologies, Inc. has received a commitment from the Future Automotive Group in Sacramento to purchase Stronghold's DealerAdvance(TM) Sales Solution wireless technology for Future Ford and Future Nissan in Roseville, Calif., and for Future Ford in Clovis, Calif., near Fresno.
The contract is for three years for a total combined value in excess of $400,000. Stronghold presently works with eight car dealers in Sacramento and 43 dealers around the country.
"We spend an enormous amount on advertising, and for the first time, we are able to take full advantage of the traffic we are drawing into the dealership," said Geoff Pleau, general manager of Future Nissan. "We have increased the capture of prospect information from 62 percent on average to 91 percent now. This has improved our sales by at least five to eight percent overall."
DealerAdvance is a complete wireless solution that delivers guaranteed sales performance for the retail automotive industry. The system comprises special software with Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), allowing car dealers to record, communicate and access customer, sales and inventory information in real time. At dealer installations, the DealerAdvance system has proven to help increase sales and to boost prospective customer "be-back" visits for additional closes.
"DealerAdvance is extremely easy to use and provides us with the ability to record and use accurate customer information. It gives us a real-time picture of what's happening at the dealership," Pleau said. "Using the hand- helds establishes a level of professionalism and credibility for our salespeople with customers. The old method of scribbling information on the back of a business card just doesn't work anymore."
"According to the National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA), car dealers typically record or 'capture' information and follow up with just ten percent of customers who visit the showroom. DealerAdvance increases this capture rate to between 85 percent and 95 percent of the customer traffic at each dealership," said Jim Cummiskey, VP of sales and marketing for Stronghold.
"We have been able to automate an excellent selling process at Future Ford with DealerAdvance. It has improved our prospect capture rates and is allowing us to more effectively hold our sales people accountable for prospect follow-up.
