Old Dominion Glass Joins GLAXIS

PITTSBURGH--Sept. 23, 2002--Old Dominion Glass, a leading glass wholesaler, is the latest industry leader to join the GLAXIS electronic hub. Old Dominion will begin its software implementation in October and plans to offer electronic ordering to its customers by the beginning of next year.
Retail glass shops that use GLAXIS-enabled point-of-sale (POS) software can check parts availability and pricing, schedule delivery times and order parts from Old Dominion.
Chris Tate, vice president of sales for Old Dominion, said he believes GLAXIS will give Old Dominion a competitive advantage. "Nothing will ever replace the importance of relationships in our industry, but we are always looking for new ways to support our customers and drive their success," Tate said. "If ordering through their software makes their life easier, then it will further solidify the relationships we have worked so hard to develop."
GLAXIS provides technology solutions throughout the auto replacement glass value chain, and is committed to driving cost savings and productivity throughout the industry. Several hundred retail glass providers use GLAXIS-enabled software to receive electronic work assignments, process additional authorizations from LYNX Services and connect electronically with preferred suppliers to check inventory availability and order glass parts.
