THAT'S WRONG STOKES!

WE GOT A CALL FROM OUR "NUMBERS MEISTER" DICK HINDMAN, WHO CALLED TO TELL ME THAT WE HAD MISREPRESENTED THE FIGURE 8 POINTS CHASE IN OUR PRESS RELEASE AND ON THE WEBSITE... ESPECIALLY THAT LAST LINE BELOW:


PICK YOUR PART FIGURE 8's:  This one is anyone's crash-fest.  (Actually two races back, the 8's were the only division of the night to actually go their proscribed number of race laps WITHOUT a yellow or a red flag!)  Keen driving, really good brakes, heavy acceleration, super peripheral vision, and a healthy dose of old fashion chutzpah are the tools that get no rest on the crazy criss-cross course.  James Altman (Wildomar) has a skinny points lead with 264, with Chris Williamson (San Berdoo) way (way) too close for comfort, only 8 back at 256.  Below that, no one has a numerical chance to take this year's championship, but that won't stop anyone from coming to race and win at Ir-WIN-dale.


.... WITH TWO RACES LEFT IN THE SEASON (THIS SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 21 AND THE FINALE ON OCTOBER 12) AND 100 POINTS UP FOR GRABS, THERE ARE ACTUALLY A MULTITUDE  OF WAYS THAT THE CHAMPIONSHIP CAN GO... IN FACT, EVERYONE DOWN TO 10 PLACE HAS A CHANCE AT THE CROWN ... THANKS DICK!

BESIDES THE ABOVE WE WROTE THAT THE SUPER STOCKS, MOD 4's, AND LATE MODELS ALL HAD TWO RACES TO GO IN THE IRWINDALE SEASONAL POINTS ... THAT'S WRONG TOO.

SORRY FOR ALL THE CONFUSION ... THE FIGURE 8's WAS MY MISCALUATION OF THE POINTS THE OTHER ERRORS WERE AS A RESULT OF MY USING THE WEB SITE POINTS LISTS (WHICH WILL REFLECT THE CORRECT NUMBER OF POINTS RACES AS SOON AS WE CAN CORRECT THEM.)
