Teradyne Diagnostic Solutions Launch Next Generation Solutions for the 21st Century
FRANKFURT, Germany--Sept. 18, 2002--Teradyne Diagnostic Solutions launches the latest range of products to support the vehicle service technician for 21st century workshop needs. The new hardware includes the highly modular and rugged GDS2200 and GDS3100 tablet diagnostic systems, the award winning GNA600 vehicle gateway and the Java and XML based GRADE-X diagnostic software. "Twenty-plus years as the leading provider of diagnostic solutions to the major vehicle manufacturers has been crystallised in our new product range," commented Peter Miles, Managing Director. "These solutions offer the ultimate in flexibility and give the vehicle manufacturers endless possibilities for their service bay solutions."The GDS3100 is a high performance portable PC based diagnostic solution running a range of different operating systems, e.g. Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP, to ensure maximum compatibility with existing diagnostic applications. The GDS2200 is a high performance Intel(R) ARM(R) based tool running Microsoft(R) Windows(R) CE, giving low power consumption coupled with `instant-on' performance. Both solutions are fitted with the Teradyne Interface Module that accepts a wide range of options including instrumentation, barcode scanners etc. The GNA600 is a rugged high performance vehicle gateway used to interface commercial devices such as laptops or PDAs to the vehicle. It embraces many open and emerging industry standards including SAEJ2534.
The GDS2200, GDS3100 and GNA600 are 100% compatible with the industry reference Java and XML based diagnostic and information authoring software, GRADE-X, enabling single source authoring support for a wide range of platform solutions.
