BMW WilliamsF1 Team Resign Marc Gené


Oxford, UK, September 18, 2002. The BMW WilliamsF1 Team announced today

that they have re-signed Marc Gené as their test and reserve driver for the

2003 season

The Spaniard joined the team in 2001 and since then he has contributed

enormously to the development of the team’s cars carrying out a considerable

amount of work together with partners BMW and Michelin.

Frank Williams, Team Principal and Managing Director, WilliamsF1 said,  “I

am delighted to have Marc working with us for another season. He is a tireless

worker who is well attuned with the way we operate. The job that he has done so far for our team has contributed significantly to our performance on track and

Marc’s continued support will be necessary if we are to fulfill our aspirations to
