Gracey to Head Aftermarket Sales for Timken
CANTON, Ohio, Sept. 17, 2002 The Timken Corporation announced today that Robert E. Gracey has joined the corporation as national sales manager - automotive and heavy duty aftermarket. An 18-year veteran of the automotive aftermarket, Mr. Gracey joins The Timken Corporation from Delta College Corporate Services in Wixom, Michigan where he was manager, training and development.

Mr. Gracey will oversee the activities of the Timken automotive and heavy duty aftermarket sales force, a network of regional sales managers and manufacturer sales representatives.
Mr. Gracey began his aftermarket career with Federal-Mogul Corporation as a territory manager. He was promoted to regional manager and then director of training. He also worked in national account sales and original equipment sales at Federal-Mogul. Mr. Gracey went on to be named director of business development for Gage Marketing Services in Romulus, Michigan. In 2001, he joined Delta College Corporate Services in his most recent post as manager, training development.
Mr. Gracey received his bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico and his master's degree from Adams State College. He is a graduate of the University of the Aftermarket's Leadership 2010 program and has earned both his AAP and his MAAP from the University. In 1998, he was recognized as Northwood University's Outstanding Contributor to Education in the Aftermarket Industry and received the University of the Aftermarket's Founder's Service Award. He continues his involvement with the University of the Aftermarket as an instructor and presenter.
Mr. Gracey is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and he is outgoing president of Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC).
