CHIP GANASSI RACING WITH FELIX SABATES
NEW HAMPSHIRE 300 QUALIFYING RESULTS

LOUDON, NH. (September 13, 2002) - The No. 40 Coors Light and No. 41 Target
teams of Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates secured 24th and 28th
qualifying positions for the New Hampshire 300 at New Hampshire
International Speedway on Friday.

Sterling Marlin, driver of the No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid R/T, will
start in 24th position for Sunday's event. Marlin ran a 29.352-second lap
at a fast speed of 129.763 mph. In 15 career starts at New Hampshire
International Speedway, Marlin had his highest finish of second place,
finishing behind winner Robby Gordon in the New Hampshire 300 in 2001.

"We made a lot of changes before qualifying," said Marlin. "I thought it
would make it a little better. It just got loose in three and four on both
laps. The track's OK. I'm a little sore in my neck and chest. I'll be
fine for Sunday. The car will be better when we start the race too."

Jimmy Spencer, driver of the No. 41 Target Dodge Intrepid R/T, will start in
28th position. Spencer's fastest lap was recorded at 129.393 mph (29.436
seconds). In the Spring New Hampshire race, Spencer finished 11th; his
finish in the fall race of 2001 was 14th. Spencer has competed in 15
Winston Cup events at New Hampshire as well as four Busch Series events, one
Featherlite Modified event and one Busch North Series event.

The New Hampshire 300 from New Hampshire International Speedway will be
broadcast on NBC on Sunday September 15 at 12:30 p.m., e.d.t.
