Ford Credit To Again Make Annual Payment To Mother Company
DEARBORN, Mich. September 12, 2002, The AP reported today that Ford Credit's financial position has stabilized after it posted its first quarterly loss last year, Ford Motor Co. said.
Ford Credit is expected to make a dividend payment to the Dearborn-based automaker this year after not making a payment last year, the Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday.
The division didn't make the payment after its performance suffered under bad loans and an accounting rules change.
Most years Ford Credit has paid a dividend, Ford said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
