Dennis Huth Out As President of Trans-Am
BRASELTON, Ga. (September 12, 2002) -- Dennis Huth, who has been President of the Trans-Am Series since May of 2001, is no longer affiliated with the organization.
Scott Atherton, President and COO of the Panoz Motor Sports Group, said that Huth's departure from the organization was by mutual understanding. Atherton said that his office would directly with the existing management team of Trans-Am in assuming day-to-day operations of the organization until a permanent replacement is confirmed.
The Trans-Am Series is the longest-running professional road racing series in North America, marking its 37th season in 2002.
