Kaydon Corporation Announces Election of New Officer
ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Sept. 10, 2002--Kaydon Corporation announced today that Peter C. DeChants has been elected Vice President - Corporate Development and Treasurer.Most recently, Mr. DeChants was Vice President - Corporate Development and Strategic Planning at Metaldyne Corporation, a $2.2 billion automotive components and diversified industrial products manufacturer. From 1998 to 2001, he was Vice President - Corporate Development of MascoTech, Inc., a $1.7 billion automotive components and diversified industrial products manufacturer, which subsequently changed its name to Metaldyne. From 1992 to 1998, he was Vice President and Treasurer of TriMas Corporation, a then New York Stock Exchange-listed $670 million manufacturer of diversified industrial products, which was acquired by MascoTech, Inc. in 1998.
In commenting on the executive appointment, Brian P.
