New Millennium Media to Salute FDNY and NYPD's September 11th Heroes and Victims At ``Remembrance Ride 2002''
CLEARWATER, Fla.--Sept. 10, 2002--New Millennium Media International Inc., (OTCBB:NMMG) will provide the Salvation Army zones 5 and 6 of the Florida division digital broadcast capabilities on the mobile LED screen during the September 11th event, John Thatch, New Millennium's President announced today.
Members of the zones 5 and 6 of the Florida Division of the Salvation Army spent approximately three months helping out in New York after the September 11, 2001 tragedy. They have assembled a three hour video of scenes taken during that time to honor the New York Police and Fire Departments. The video will be broadcast on New Millennium's LED at the Chrysler-Jeep Plaza of the St. Petersburg Times' Forum (formerly known as The Ice Palace), according to Thatch.
"This event is another step in the on-going healing process of the soul of America," said Thatch. "It is an honor and a privilege to be any part of that process."
The "Remembrance Ride 2002" will begin at the Tampa Harley-Davidson store. "New York's Finest" FDNY and NYPD will join local firefighters, law enforcement, WQYK's Dave McKay, local celebrity riders and an expected 700 to 1500 Harley riders on the ride to benefit the Gold Shield foundation. The ride ends at the St. Petersburg Times' Forum where the Salvation Army video broadcast via New Millennium's jumbo screen will be followed by a post-ride Harley party with a free WQYK live country concert featuring recording artists Sixwire and Belinda Womack, according to Carl Snodgrass, WQYK's Event Production Specialist.
Other sponsors of the event include Carrabba's, Outback Steakhouse, The Tampa Bay Business Journal, Hooters, and more according to the WQYK website, http://www.wqyk.com.
