Hales Corners Speedway Results - 09/07/2002

    Franklin, Wis., Sept. 7--Bret Sievert capped the 2002 UMP late model 
season at Hales Corners Speedway with a dominant victory Saturday on Behling 
Racing Equipment Night at the Hales Corners Speedway.
    Russ Scheffler, Brent Larson, Jim Zdroik and George Scheffler rounded out 
the top five finishers.
    Don Scheffler won the night's sportsmen feature and Jim Zdroik used a 
pass with two laps to go to win the modified main event.
    Russ Scheffler led the opening 14 laps of the 50-lap UMP late model main 
before Sievert took command.  Once in front Sievert was nearly uncatchable as 
he romped to victory in an event spiced by four caution flags.  Larson and 
Scheffler spent the final 35 laps disputing the runner-up spot, which was 
decided in Scheffler's favor by two cars at the finish.
    Don Scheffler led flag to flag en route to victory in the 20-lap 
sportsmen feature.  Dave Gorny finished a very close second, with Jeff 
Tondryk third, Eddie Lemay Jr. fourth and Roger Lee fifth.
