Starcraft Elects John Collins to Board of Directors

    GOSHEN, Ind.--Sept. 6, 2002--At a regular meeting held on August 6, 2002, the Starcraft Corporation Board of Directors announced the unanimous appointment of Mr. John M. Collins to the Board of Directors.
    Collins, 53, is the founder and former chairman and CEO of Leer, Inc., in Elkhart, Ind. Under his leadership, Leer developed a reputation as an innovative national leader in the truck cap manufacturing market, becoming the No. 1 producer in the industry. Mr. Collins sold his interest in the business to an investment group in 1987.
    Other business interests include a part-ownership interest and director of Postle Distributors, Inc., of Elkhart. He is active in a variety of charitable organizations, including his role on the Board of Directors of the Samaritan Institute, a national counseling organization. In 2000, he was inducted into the Specialty Equipment Market Association Hall of Fame.
    Mr. Collins is a 1971 graduate of Florida Atlantic University. He currently resides in Bristol.
