    FORT WRIGHT, Ky. & CHICAGO--Sept. 5, 2002-- Car-Part.com and CCC Information Services Inc. announce a strategic relationship that will make data on millions of recycled automobile parts instantly available to appraisers in collision repair facilities, insurance companies and independent appraisal firms as they write their repair estimates.
    Under the agreement, Car-Part.com - the first company to help auto recyclers sell parts on the Internet via searchable inventory - will provide recycled parts data to CCC, a leading supplier of information and technology solutions to the automotive claims and collision repair industries. CCC's Pathways(R) collision estimating product will deliver the data - including condition, location, availability, brand and price of the recycled product - to end users through its integrated Recycled Parts Services (RPS) feature.
    With the valuable parts inventory information at their fingertips, collision repair facilities, insurance adjusters and independent appraisers can incorporate accurate repair parts information into their estimates faster and easier.
