Volkswagen Reports August Sales

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 4 Volkswagen of America, Inc. today reported August sales of 34,810, representing a 10 percent decline versus last year's record-setting mark of 38,728. Total year-to-date sales figures stand at 236,929 versus 2001's total of 243,765. Volkswagen remains the nation's top-selling European brand.
