Frontstep Executive to Speak at IMTS 2002 Manufacturing Conference; Session to Focus On Real-Time Supply Chain Collaboration Strategies

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Sept. 4, 2002--Frontstep, Inc. , a leading provider of business solutions for manufacturers, today announced that Dr. Kenneth Musselman, Supply Chain Evangelist, will lead a presentation on Real-time Supply Chain Collaboration at the IMTS 2002 Manufacturing Conference on Tuesday, September 10 in Chicago.
"Growing competitive pressures are driving the need for increased levels of collaboration among supply chain participants," said Musselman. "Traditional techniques are no longer adequate. Customers expect better service and vendors expect better communication. The challenge is to deliver high-velocity order fulfillment across this operationally disparate set of participants."
During the presentation, conference attendees can expect to learn more about emerging supply chain collaboration technologies, gain a better understanding of increased visibility of item availability, and learn more about instantaneous order promising and global planning. Additionally, they will learn about the order fulfillment requirements being forwarded by today's discrete, to-order manufacturers to help them better align their supply with demand and deliver on time.
