Volkswagen Canada Records Best August Ever

AJAX, ON, Sept. 4 /CNW/ - Volkswagen Canada sales of 4,299 for August were up 5.7% or 232 units over the August 2001 mark of 4,067 vehicles, which gave Volkswagen Canada its best August ever.

The Volkswagen Golf and GTI finished the month of August with sales totaling 1,114 units, an increase of 22% over August 2001.

Passat sedan sales in August reached 370 vehicles, compared with 359 in August 2001. Passat Wagon sales grew from 111 vehicles in August 2001, to 155 vehicles in August 2002, an increase of 39.6%.

The Volkswagen Jetta finished the month of July with sales totaling 2,450 units, compared with 2,115 units sold in August 2001, an increase of 15.8%

To date this year, Volkswagen Canada has retailed 28,188 vehicles.
