Motormania Show A Success on a Hot Day

Motormania Show A Success on a Hot Day

Hardeeville, SC (September 3, 2002) The Inaugural Motormania Car, Truck,
Motorcycle, Tractor and Racecar Show was held on Saturday, August 24th at
the Hardeeville Motor Speedway in Hardeeville, South Carolina on one of the
hottest days of the year with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees by the end
of the show. Sixty-four entries and a couple hundred spectators turned out
despite the extremely hot temperatures. Many proud owners displayed their
vehicles around the 1/3 mile high-banked oval track. "The facility proved
to be a great place to host these types of events and we look forward to
hosting similar events in the future," said Todd Fisher from the
Hardeeville Motor Speedway. "We see many things that we can improve on and
we are excited about the potential that this event has. It can grow to
become one of the largest of its kind in the Southeast in a few years."

One thing that will be changed is the date. The next MotorMania show will
be held in either April or May of next year. Another similar type show is
already on the HMS schedule for Saturday, October 19, 2002 called Motorama
I. It will be similar with the addition of a "used" boat, RV and
motorcycle swap meet. "One thing that we intend to improve upon is the
swap meet end of the show," said Fisher. "We were extremely disappointed
in the small turnout of vendors and swap meet participants, however we will
try to figure out how to find more for the Motorama show."

For more details and a flyer about Motorama on October 19th, call (843)
