Six Sigma Academy Names John Rodgers Executive Consultant

    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--Sept. 3, 2002--Extending its consulting expertise into the area of insurance, Six Sigma Academy today announced the appointment of John Rodgers as executive consultant with its Consulting Operations group.
    Rodgers, a veteran insurance specialist who has held management positions at Aetna, Cigna and GE Employers Reinsurance Corp., brings more than eight years of insurance industry experience to the Academy. He previously served as the director of Consumer-Driven Six Sigma for Ford Motor Company's Marketing, Sales and Service group, where he was responsible for the strategic implementation of six sigma and ISO while providing global strategic direction for all brands within the Ford family.
    As an executive consultant, Rodgers will focus on six sigma deployments in the insurance and retail sectors. A certified master black belt, he has trained more than 300 black belts while managing six sigma deployments at various companies, including DuPont, American Express, Noranda and Ford.
    Rodgers began his six sigma career at GE Capital, where he was trained as a master black belt specialized in Voice of the Customer integration.
    Rodgers graduated from Eureka College with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and business management. He also holds numerous professional insurance certifications, including CPCU, RPLU, ARM and AIS.
