Accident Prevention Plus Announces New Design to Accelerometer

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.--Aug. 29, 2002--Accident Prevention Plus, Inc. (OTCBB:ACPL) has developed a newly designed duel axis accelerometer for use with its On Board Recorder series APP-1000-3000. The accelerometer is used to detect vehicle movement in both forward and lateral movement of a vehicle. What this means is that we can detect hard accelerations or decelerations, as well as hard turns, such as an off-ramp on an interstate. Hard braking occurrences can also detect near miss situations that a fleet owner may otherwise never know about, by recording and storing this data you can review and analyze the data in an accident or a near miss situation.
This upgraded design means a substantial increase to the Company's bottom line, as the new in-house design and technology has decreased the Company's costs exponentially. Accident Prevention's technical engineers are constantly striving to upgrade our existing technology so to stay "one step ahead of the game" and cutting the costs.
Patrick Painter, The Company's Technical Product Manager stated, "The new accelerometer is much more accurate than the previous version and has a much higher sampling rate."
Alan Schwartz, President and CEO noted: "This new accelerometer was designed and manufactured at our home office in Florida. It allows us to always have product in stock without depending on suppliers' time tables."
