MARVAC: RV Industry Experts Project Strong Sales Through 2002

OKEMOS, Mich., Aug. 27 -- Despite stock market concerns, RV industry experts continue to project strong sales in Michigan for the third and fourth quarters of 2002. For the month of June, motor home sales in Michigan were up 31 percent and travel trailer and tent camper sales were up 42.7 percent compared to sales in June 2001.

Year-to-date sales in Michigan (January-June 2002) continue to reflect strong growth throughout 2002. According to Statistical Surveys, motor home sales are up 9.8 percent. Travel trailer and tent camper sales for this period are also reported to be up 13.2 percent compared to a year ago.
