NMB -USA- Inc. Announces Restructuring of NMB Technologies Corporation

    CHATSWORTH, Calif.--Aug. 27, 2002--NMB (USA) Inc., headquarters for Minebea's North American group of companies, today announced the consolidation of NMB Technologies Corporation's two divisions, the Technologies Division and the Precision Components Division, to meet the demands of today's changing technology markets. The two divisions are known worldwide as manufacturers of cooling solutions, miniature precision bearings, audio components, step and spindle motors, keyboards, mechanical assemblies, power supplies, and automotive components.
    NMB Technologies has realigned its sales and marketing divisions to promote specialization within the product groups and to meet the global customers' needs. The expansion of NMB's target markets worldwide and the desire to gain market share in today's economy is driving NMB to make changes that position the company for future growth.
    Under NMB's new structure, a Global Account Sales Group is dedicated to effective process and skill development tailored to the needs of key global customers. Global account specialists are well-equipped to address all technical and operational needs unique to each customer.
    NMB has also established a Commercial Sales Group with specialized product knowledge that focuses on serving US-based customers. These specialists work closely with the customers' design engineers to develop product solutions that meet design needs. NMB's Automotive Sales Group is dedicated to sales and development for the automotive market. As electronics markets continue to move production off-shore, NMB looks to the automotive market as an opportunity to expand its US revenue base and market share.
