SHANE LEWIS RETURNS TO CORVETTE AT VIR

JUPITER, Fla., Monday, August 26, 2002 - Shane Lewis will return to the #43
Orison Marketing/ Planet Earth Motorsports Corvette Z06 for the September 1
Grand-Am Cup event at Virginia International Raceway (VIR). Lewis, who was
participating in a Winston Cup car at Watkins Glen International during the
most recent round of the Grand-Am Cup, will be back behind the wheel of the
black and green Vette for the remainder of the season. Earlier in the
season, Lewis drove this Vette to a dominating victory at Phoenix
International Raceway with co-driver and team owner Joe Nonnamaker.

“It is good to be back with the Nonnamakers and back in the Orison Marketing
Vette,” offered Lewis from his Jupiter, Florida home. “I enjoy racing with
these guys because they show up ready to win. They know what needs to be
done and they do it. As a driver it is a big relief to race for a team that
really wants to win. I‘m looking forward to racing with Planet Earth and Joe
the rest of the season.”

The event marks the second time that Lewis has driven for Planet Earth at
VIR this season. In the team’s first outing, faulty fuel pump wiring put the
#43 out of contention while racing third overall. Lewis anticipates that
time at the track will help the team in its return to the beautiful
tree-lined facility.

“We learned a lot at VIR in June that we can bring back this time around,”
the fan favorite said “We were running strong then so I think we should be
even stronger in a couple of weeks. VIR is a great track with a lot of
history. It definitely has its challenges. This will be a tough race for the
Vette teams because the track plays to some of the Porsche’s strong suits.
It’ll be a real battle. I can’t wait!”

Shane Lewis has been racing since 1989. He is the 1998 Professional Sports
Car Rising Star award winner and has multiple race wins in the IMSA Supercar
and SCCA Pro series. This former Daytona Endurance Champion has driven in 16
24-hour races including two 24 Hours of Le Mans, six 24 Hours of Daytona and
six 12 Hours of Sebring. In 2002, he is competing as the lead driver for the
#43 Orison Marketing/ Planet Earth Corvette Z06 in the GS I-class of the
Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series and is also racing in the American Le Mans
Series.
