GARDENA, Calif., Aug. 22 -- Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc., today announced pricing on the all-new 2003 M45, performance sport sedan, which is set to go on sale October 4 at 158 Infiniti dealers nationwide. The rear-wheel drive M45, with its standard 340-horsepower V8 engine, 5-speed automatic transmission and long list of luxury features, has a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting at $42,300.

As the latest addition to the Infiniti lineup of performance-oriented front engine, rear-wheel drive sedans, the M45 is positioned between the flagship Q45 -- with which it shares many powertrain components, including the highly acclaimed 4.5-liter V8 engine -- and the new Infiniti G35 sport sedan.

"We've made the price of the new M45 as aggressive as its performance," said Mark McNabb, vice president and general manager, Infiniti Division. "At $42,300, the M45 starts at a level where many competitors only offer 6-cylinder models."

Along with its V8 engine, other standard M45 performance features include Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control System, 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System with Brake Assist and Electronic Brake force Distribution, vehicle speed-sensitive power rack-and-pinion steering, multi-link rear suspension design and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and high performance tires.

The distinctive M45 interior includes luxurious sport-contoured front bucket seats with Infiniti-exclusive "Sojourner" leather seating surfaces, Infiniti Vehicle Information System with 5.8-inch color LCD screen, 7-speaker Bose® audio system with 6-disc CD autochanger, 10-way power driver's seat with automatic entry/exit system, genuine Bird's Eye Maple smoke-colored wood trim and much more.

All M45s also feature dual-stage front supplemental air bags with seat belt sensors, front seat side-impact supplemental air bags, front and rear curtain side-impact supplemental air bags and active head restraints for the front seats.

Optional packages on the 2003 M45 include the Comfort and Convenience Package, which includes memory seats, electrochromic mirrors, heated outside mirrors, reverse tilt down mirror, HomeLink® Universal Transceiver, rearview mirror compass, full-size spare tire and direct reading tire pressure monitor.

Also available is the Premium Package (requires Comfort and Convenience Package), which includes Climate Control Seats (heating and cooling) front seats, power sliding tilt glass sunroof and Infiniti Voice Recognition. The Premium Package is also offered with chrome wheels.

The Technology Package (requires the Premium Package) adds the DVD-based Infiniti Navigation System with 7.0-inch LCD screen (replacing the standard 5.8-inch screen) and laser-based Intelligent Cruise Control. Additional options include satellite radio (with a choice of XM or Sirius service), sunroof, traditional wood color trim, rear spoiler and P235/45R18 V-rated Michelin all-season tires.

Complete pricing and option packages are available on the attached sheet.

Infiniti is supported by a network of 158 dealers throughout North America and offers a range of luxury vehicles including the flagship Q45 luxury performance sedan, G35 sport sedan, I35 luxury sedan and the QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle.
