Geac Helps Auto Suppliers Cut Costs and Streamline Business Processes With New System21 Products

    ATLANTA--Aug. 21, 2002--

Geac(R) to Demo System21(TM) enCompass, KPI FastPack and vendor.connect at Leading Automotive Conference

    Geac Enterprise Solutions(TM), a division of Geac Computer Corporation Limited (TSX:GAC), today announced three new System21(TM) products designed to help automotive manufacturers cut costs by better managing internal and supplier-facing ERP data. Geac(R) will demonstrate these new products - System21 enCompass, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) FastPack and vendor.connect - at Auto-Tech 2002, August 27-29, at The Cobo Conference Center in Detroit. Separately, System21 Americas Solution Manager Peter Clay will deliver three presentations at Auto-Tech addressing enterprise technology challenges facing the automotive industry.

    System21 enCompass provides a universal Web-based user interface for launching System21 applications through a Web browser. It enables users to navigate back end systems quickly and easily, improving productivity, particularly for occasional users.
    KPI FastPack provides an extensive overview of a company's System21 operational data, enabling users to analyze performance measurements and improve business processes where necessary.
    Vendor.connect is a supplier self-service application designed to support a collaborative relationship between System21 users and their suppliers. Vendor.connect provides non-EDI capable suppliers with a secure, Web-based connection to their customers' requirements schedules, and supports both Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN) generation and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) relationships. The product helps improve supplier communication, planning capabilities, and inventory control.

    Additionally, Clay will deliver three presentations at Auto-Tech. Each presentation will explore key enterprise technology issues confronting automotive suppliers. Presentation topics include eXtensible Markup Language (XML), Process Workflow and the Changes Driven by eEnterprises on the Process Integration Paradigm.
    Organized annually by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), the Auto-Tech event is a recognized forum for initiating proactive planning and improving trading partner relationships by bringing OEMs and suppliers together to discuss and inform attendees of the current trends and standards in the supply chain.
