Rolex Series to Run Inaugural VIR 500

What:	The inaugural VIR 500 will feature the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series in the historic road course's first major auto race since its reopening in 2000. Also racing during the Labor Day weekend event will be the Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series and Porsche Club of America. 

Where:	Virginia International Raceway, in Alton, Va. The track is located outside of Danville, Va., and is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Greensboro, N.C., 1 hour 45 minutes from Raleigh, N.C., and 2 hours 30 minutes from Richmond, Va. and Roanoke, Va.

When:	Friday, August 30th - 	Practice Sessions all day
	Saturday, August 31st - 	Rolex Series VIR 500 Qualifying at 12:45 p.m.
		Grand-Am Cup Twin 250 Races at 1:45 p.m. & 5 p.m.
	Sunday, September 1st - 	Rolex Series VIR 500 Race at 12:15 p.m.

Who:	The VIR 500 will feature some of the best sports car drivers and road racers from around the world. Several winners of the Rolex 24 At Daytona are schedule to race, including Didier Theys, Boris Said, Butch Leitzinger and Indy racer Anthony Lazzaro.
