Statement Regarding The Death of Stephen P. Yokich

The following is a statement from General Motors Chairman Jack Smith about the death of recently retired UAW President Stephen P. Yokich:

All of us at General Motors are deeply saddened by the passing of Steve Yokich. We have lost a respected business partner, a passionate leader in community and union relations, and most importantly, a good and honorable man. I value the friendship we forged and will miss his dedication to his fellow UAW members and the auto industry.
