Ford Adds Inducements To Buy 2002 and 2003 cars.

DEARBORN, Mich. Ford Motor Co. said it is offering up to $3,500 cash back or zero-percent financing for 2002 Mustang, Windstar and Explorer models.

In addition, the automaker has set cash-back levels at $1,000 on certain 2003 models, including Taurus, Crown Victoria, Windstar, Ranger, the two-door Explorer Sport, the F-150 pickup, Excursion and Econoline. Cash-back offers of $500 are available on the 2003 Focus, Mustang and four-door Explorer.

The 2002 cash-back and zero-financing offers and the 2003 cash-back incentives will remain in effect through Sept. 30, Ford said.

Zero-percent financing covers contracts running up to 60 months on the covered 2002 models.

For most 2003 models, financing rates of 3.9 percent to 5.9 percent are available. Ford has excluded the 2003 Thunderbird, Escape and Expedition from this financing package.
