SEMA Plans 2003 SEMA Show Space Selection, Will Add Three Sections Within the Show

SEMA PLANS 2003 SEMA SHOW SPACE SELECTION,
WILL ADD THREE SECTIONS WITHIN THE SHOW

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (August 16, 2002) - SEMA, the Specialty
Equipment Market Association, will hold the space selection for the
2003 SEMA Show during the 2002 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention
Center, scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5, through Friday, Nov. 8.

"We started this year-in-advance space selection procedure last year
when our Show was changing shape because of the expanded Las Vegas
Convention Center," said Christopher J. Kersting, CAE, SEMA
president. "It worked very well for our exhibitors who were able to
walk the new space before they selected their space for this year's
show. Further, having the space selection during our show eliminates
the need for a separate trip to California to select their space."

"Our exhibitors like the certainty of knowing a year out where they
will be in our show. It makes their planning a lot easier."

2003 SEMA Show Will Have 12 Sections, Numerous OEM Exhibits

Kersting said that the SEMA Show will again change shape in 2003.
"We're adding three sections next year. Those will be a Business
Services Section, a Car Care & Accessories Section, and a Tools &
Equipment Section. The result will be a show which is even more
efficiently organized for our buyers."

The other sections within the 2003 SEMA Show will be International
Tire Expo (ITE), Mobile Electronics & Technology, Performance
Marine, Racing & Performance, Restoration Marketplace, Restyling &
Accessories Center, Street Rod Alley, Trucks/SUV/Truck Caps &
Accessories, and Wheels & Performance Tires. The original equipment
makers' (OEMs) exhibits will be located throughout the 2003 SEMA
Show, as will the various Action Centers.

This week SEMA is sending space contracts for the 2003 SEMA Show to
companies that exhibited at the 2000 and 2001 SEMA Shows as well as
to companies exhibiting at this year's SEMA Show. Companies
returning their contracts, with a deposit, to SEMA before Monday,
Sept. 16, will be included in this fall's on-site space selection
drawing.

The 2003 SEMA Show will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center
Tuesday, Nov. 4-Friday, Nov. 7, 2003.
