Sirius Satellite/BMW: Service To Be Dealer-Installed Option

NEW YORK -Dow Jones reported that BMW of North America LLC will offer Sirius Satellite Radio's service in the BMW Mini, beginning in the fourth quarter.

Financial terms of the arrangement weren't available.

In a press release Thursday, Sirius said its service will also be available in the BMW 3 Series, 5 Series and X5, and will be a dealer-installed option in the vehicles.

Shares of Sirius, which broadcasts 100 channels of digital radio throughout the continental U.S. for $12.95 a month, recently traded up 3 cents, or 3.9%, to 79 cents on Nasdaq volume of 882,300 shares. Average daily volume is 1.2 million shares.

In March, Sirius said it expected to have about 100,000 to 200,000 subscribers by the end of the year.
