He has never won the pole; his best starting position is third (June 1995). He has one win at the track (Aug. 2001). * First win for Dodge: Last season, Marlin won the rain-shortened Pepsi 400 at Michigan on Aug. 19, 2001, giving Dodge its first NASCAR Winston Cup win since November 1977. It was Marlin's first victory in 2001 and his first victory in 33 races at Michigan. The win ended Marlin's 170-race winless streak that dated to Daytona in July 1996. * Chassis: The Coors Light team will take chassis #203 to Michigan this weekend. Marlin has driven chassis #203 to five top-10 finishes this season; it has finished outside of the top-10 only twice. The car has competed in the following races this season: Las Vegas (win), Darlington (win), Texas (7th), Charlotte (11th), Pocono (4th), Pocono (3rd), Indianapolis (27th due to motor trouble). * Marlin has lead the NASCAR Winston Cup point standings since Rockingham and is the only driver to rank in the top-10 since the Daytona 500 in February 2001.
