    CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Aug. 12, 2002--Carlisle Companies Incorporated today reported that Richmond D. McKinnish, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Kirk F. Vincent, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, have signed and filed sworn statements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) affirming the SEC filings made by the company in 2002. The certificates were reviewed by the company's audit committee.
    McKinnish and Vincent also signed and filed similar certifications required under the new Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
