Starcraft Elects John Collins to Board of Directors
GOSHEN, Ind.--Aug. 13, 2002--Starcraft Corporation (OTCBB:STCR) today announced that at its regularly scheduled meeting on August 6, 2002, the Board of Directors appointed Mr. John M. Collins to the Board of Directors.Collins, 53, is the founder and former chairman of Leer, Inc., in Elkhart, Ind. Under his leadership, Leer became an innovative national leader in the truck cap manufacturing market, becoming the No. 1 producer in the industry. Mr. Collins sold his interest in the business to an investment group in 1987.
His other interests include part-owner and director of Postle Distributors, Inc., of Elkhart and as a director of the Samaritan Institute, a national counseling organization. In 2000, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the combined Truck Cap Accessory and Specialty Equipment Market Associations. Collins graduated Florida Atlantic University in 1971.

Starcraft said that under applicable guidelines, Collins qualifies as an independent outside director of the company.
