Viewlocity Cited as a Leader for Adaptive Logistics Management by Independent Research Firm
ATLANTA--Aug. 13, 2002--Viewlocity was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its July 2002 Forrester Wave report, "Grading Apps for Inventory and Order Visibility."In this evaluation, Viewlocity was cited as a leader in overall Adaptive Logistics Management and ALM Apps for Global Shipping (click here to download the full report). The findings were based on Viewlocity's ability to meet adaptive supply network challenges, including ease of integration, personalized event management, and process synchronization strategy.
The report indicates that to effectively manage exceptions, firms need applications for monitoring events and assets, recommending alternatives, and resolving outcomes automatically - without replanning. "This is exactly what we've been building," said Viewlocity CTO Michael Sherman. "Our early customers, in industries from high-tech to transportation, have realized tremendous benefits from these solutions."
Jeffrey Simpson, Viewlocity's CEO, commented: "This type of validation, from a credible, third-party source is really satisfying to all of the Viewlocity employees who have worked so hard to deliver these market-leading solutions to our customers."
Version 4.1 of Viewlocity's Supply Web Applications will be available at the end of August. Enhancements include the ability to share, monitor and collaborate on demand and supply forecasts and information on product promotions; as well as a portal dashboard that allows users to completely customize the interface.
